Garway Tipi

Close to the tipi, a safari-style kitchen offers room for preparing food and keeping clean. Pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and everything you need to satisfy your appetite can be found here.
The burner in the tipi can be used for BBQ-style meals. Not far away, a quirky but functional compost toilet has been created using recycled wood.
To welcome you to this special place a small hamper awaits you upon arrival, bursting with locally produced, organic and fair trade food items.
We grow our own vegetables to organic principles, and rear our own lamb and pork. Eggs from our traditional breed chickens are usually available too.
A Woodland Trust reserve backs onto the site. Garway Common is nearby, offering 360 degree views across the Black Mountains, Severn Estuary and the rolling hills of Herefordshire. The only stand-alone tipi holiday in the UK, an exclusive site in the mysterious hills between England and Wales, the best kept secret!
There is no electricity or running water on site, and water and firewood are provided, .you can enjoy a direct relationship with nature whilst leaving little carbon footprint.
Mobile reception is unlikely, so you are guaranteed an escape from the demands of everyday life.
Free pick-up from local train/coach stations can be arranged
No dogs please; we have chickens, ducks, pigs, kittens, children and lambs.
We have Public Liability Insurance but are unable to insure the tipi itself, so please take care when lighting fires etc.
Thank you
